Although I had never seen CaddyShack til last week, it has been a part of my life since I was a toddler. My mom had one of those animatronic things that danced and it was the gopher and he danced to the featured song, ‘I’m Alright’.This thing scared the crap out of me and always made me cry. Getting to finally see the movie and understand all the stuff I have been missing was pretty cool and I am glad this is the movie I ended up watching for the week.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this movie, you must live somewhere where all the TV’s are broken because everyone has heard of this movie. It is about a young caddy who is trying to get a scholarship for college. He has not always been known for being the best kid so being on his best behavior is very hard. Although this is the main plot, there are other smaller problems that are happening for the other characters in the movie such as Carl (Bill Murray) who is trying to kill the gopher destroying the golf course and the conflict between the Mayor(Ted Knight) and Aj (Rodney Dangerfield). All these funny ideas really flow together super awesome just to create this super funny and classic 80s movie.
This movie really speaks to all audiences because if you are into golf, you might be more involved into what is happening with the game but if you are more just someone with a stupid sense of humor you are focused on how freaking hilarious Rodney Dangerfield is!
I loved this movie so much, not only was it funny but I acually want to try to play golf! That is all I really have to say cuz this movie is simply just that; it is funny as hell and that is that! Overall I would give it a 9/10. It was super funny with a dynamite cast and it was just a movie that you could just keep watching. Go watch this movie even if you have seen it before because guaranteed you will be laughing for the next two days!
